Kingdom Tunes exists primary to be a free resource for Christ centered worship music intended for the global Church. Kingdom Tunes also provides a place for Christ centered servant/artists to freely distribute music written for the edification of other Christians and the spreading of the salvation message which is the Gospel.

Creative Commons Worship Music

By utilizing tools and legal documents freely provided by the creative commons website community, artist of all kinds have found a legitimate and free way of proving "some restrictions" while allowing other actions that help their music do what it was intended to do - inspire. Unfortunately, worship artists have been rather slow in seeing the light of this reality. And while thousands of secular artists have adapted to creative commons and less restrictive licensing - most Christian worship artists do not.

Ask The Worship Artists you know to Participate

If you feel that worship music is best when it is "free" to be used, then please send massages to worship artists you admire the work of and encourage them to consider a creative commons approach to licensing their music.

What Worship Artists Should Consider about License Restriction

• Allow for sharing and copying worship music.
• Allow the adapting of worship music to other languages and settings.
• Allow the right to freely play songs via media (cd, ipod, iphone...) or a band.

These options are not available under current copyright laws that are being enforced on worship music. Even CCLI does not allow such things.

This does not restrict from an artist's ability to sell CD or tracks on iTunes, instead it give freedom to the songs to reach more ears than before.
